Ju-Jitsu N.I. is the only martial arts governing body in Northern Ireland that is recognised by the British Ju-Jitsu Association of Great Britain (B.J.J.A.G.B.). We want to help develop clubs, instructors and students by offering training and courses; and the opportunity to have your club events promoted through our website and social media.
No. Ju-Jitsu N.I. was established to promote Ju-Jitsu and to bring other martial arts styles together.
Clubs can grade their own students without any interference from us. Ju-Jitsu N.I. have a grading panel if some clubs opt to have their students tested by an external grading panel for their Dan Grade. This further enhances grade ratification.
We have previously organised national and international weekend courses with instructors from Australia, America, Italy and the U.K. If you wish to organise a course, we are here to help promote and support your event.
There is competitions available through B.J.J.A.G.B. and U.N.J.J. Competition categories include:
- Random Attacks
- Sparring
- Continuous
- Groundfighting
- Pairs Demonstration
- Empty Hand Kata
- Weapons Kata
- Two Person Kata
- Team Demonstration
When your club and your students become a member of J.J.N.I., your club will be listed under “Registered Clubs”. Your club Instructors and students who hold the rank of 1st will also be listed on the “Black Belt Register”.
